Columnists are expected to produce at least one column every two weeks, and are expected to report their potential ideas to their editor at least a week in advance. This includes, but is not limited to, conceiving and planning, interviewing sources and capturing and editing content. Stories may be returned for further edits.
Columnists are highly encouraged to work with our cartoonist on staff in order to produce corresponding illustrations with their columns. Columnists are expected to submit high-quality work; these should be thoughtful pieces backed up by ideas, sources and facts. The opinion columnists will be responsible for all these duties and any other duties as assigned.
